Sewanee Easter Weekend Hiking

Growing up in the valley, Sewanee has always had a special place in my heart. Today, we decided to hike around some of the Domain as a family. 4 miles of hiking, I think, everyone will rest well tonight!
The Memorial Cross was our reward after a mile hike from Morgan's Steep.
The Cross was erected in honor of those from Sewanee and Franklin County that have served in war.
Daddy served during the Korean War
My three hikers taking a little break looking out at the Valley!
The Valley View from the Cross.
Katherine looking and thinking!
Mary Lane being silly, I mean, holding up the rock so we can pass!
Clay~our serious hiker!

Another Valley view from Elliott Pt
Sweet little purple flower at Bridal Veil Falls
Trying to channel cousin Paul Moore! With the falls in the background.
Bridal Veil Falls~ it was so worth the 400 ft elevation change to get to it~ and to recover for the hike back UP....and I mean UP!
Cascades 27 feet down~ truly amazing!

Katherine taking a break before the hike back up! And thinking about lunch/supper with Lynn and Betty at Crust.

And this is what my Easter Bunny(aka big sister) surprised me with! Looking forward to these in the morning!

What a great day!
